Maredith + Guy (Part 2)

What a year for these two! It is going to be easy for these two Cubs fans to remember their first year of marriage! What a day we had with such a fantastic couple. With this being our seventh year as a business with over 200 weddings on the books, it would be hard to find a couple that had more genuine affection and downright giddiness for each other. They wrote their own vows, had very touching letters, and the groom even had hot air balloon socks harkening back to his proposal (which we filmed) at a hot air balloon festival! Just well done to these two. We couldn't be happier for this couple to have chosen us. Enjoy!

Ah, Spring! Is there any better time for family photos?!??  I say 'no.'  I so enjoyed spending time with this sweet family.  Liam is adorable! There was a campfire with a few remaining glowing embers, and Liam LOVED the smell!  He kept sniffing the air!  Carlton family, thank you for allowing me to capture a bit of your family life at this stage.  It's a good stage.  :-) 

Lauren + Matt (Part Two)

Well, I had intended to post this last week, but that was before our family came down with some gnarly cold. Everyone was coughing and no one was sleeping.  And, poor Jared, who had the shortest bought of it, got to play nurse-maid to everyone else.  Anyway, one week and about 40 clorox wipes later, here we are.

Thank you again to Lauren and Matt! We soooo enjoyed working with you and your family! We wish you the best in all you do! May you have a long, happy marriage!

Couples that I shoot their "Our Story" hold a special place in my heart becuase I've gotten to know them so well. I've learned how they met, what they love most about the other, and it makes their highlight reel all the more special to me!

What a totally fun couple this was!  Seriously, check out their awesome dance moves.  The stars aligned to give this couple the perfect cool weather day in December! What luck!  And, it was so fun to see so many of our past brides at this wedding.  It is the highest compliment when our clients refer us to their friends.  Thank you, thank you.  It means the world to us.

Hip Hop You Don't Stop

When we meet with clients, we often are met with questions about what else is included in their wedding package outside of the ceremony and the highlight reels we publish on this website and our social media accounts.  We always have the same answer, "Anything we think you might want to watch again."  You want something on film, tell us! And we will film it.  

It is so hard in those meetings to list the 'bonus features,' for your wedding, because I have no idea what your wedding day will hold.  And, neither will you.  Here is a great example of a surprise performance by a guest at the wedding.  And, he nailed it.  Without further ado...

I find myself saying this about every video but I can't help it; this is one of my favorites! I love when couples write their own vows and these two did an amazing job. Their love for each other made for an amazing video and made our job all the more worthwhile! 

Also, just so we are all on the same page, we here at Carpe Diem do not discriminate against couples wanting to get married. This particular wedding occurred before the Supreme Court decision, but that made zero difference to us. Two people that love each other will always be able to book with us regardless of sexuality, religion, or race. Who you are is who you are and you love who you love. It infuriates me when I hear of vendors refusing clients based on reasons listed above. Our clients trust us to preserve memories of the most important day of their lives and we do not take it lightly. We get to know our clients very well and care for them very much. These two are no exception. But enough of my soapbox, please enjoy!
